In October 2023:
- We received 10,425 incoming calls to the surgery.
- 7735 of these calls were answered by the reception team within 2 minutes.
- 1261 patients hung up the phone before their call could be answered by one of the team.
- 19,436 medications were issued on prescription by our prescription clerks.
- Our secretaries typed 191 referrals to secondary care services.
- 186 patients were unable to work due to illness and were issued with a FIT note by one of the GP’s.
- We sent 361 letters or emails to patients.
- 3233 SMS text messages were sent to patients.
- We received 2116 emails or requests via My Health Online or the NHS App in October.
- 4249 patients had a booked appointment with a clinician in October 2023.
- 3993 of these appointments were attended, or the patient answered the telephone when the clinician called them.
- 256 appointments were not attended without being cancelled, resulting in wasted clinical time of 43 hours!
If you are unable to attend a booked appointment, please ensure that this is cancelled so that the appointment can be offered to another patient who may need it.
