IMPORTANT – APPOINTMENTS

We are having increasing numbers of patients attending surgery without an appointment, expecting to be seen straight away.

The Surgery is not an urgent care centre or walk in service. Only patients with a booked appointment will be seen by a clinician in surgery.

If you have a problem that you feel is urgent, the reception team will take your details and this request will be triaged and you will either be signposted to the most appropriate service for you, or you will be booked an appointment in surgery.  Please note, this appointment may not be on the same day and will not always be with a doctor.  Attending surgery will not enable you to book an earlier appointment or be seen sooner.

Please note that we are unable to provide urgent care or minor injury services in the practice – if you have chest pain, signs of stroke or excessive blood loss you should dial 999 or attend A+E. If you have a minor injury, such as a suspected break, injuries following a fall, burns etc. then you should attend one of the hospital minor injury units.  It is not appropriate to contact the surgery for these.
